WLBN is the reward and payment currency of the Weather XRPL DePIN ecosystem - an XRPL issued asset governed by a quality-based fixed-budget policy.
Every time data is sold, half of the WLBN paid is permanently burned.
50% of network revenue flows back to all holders as value, not to the company. Burns execute automatically at the moment of sale, and every record is instantly verifiable as an on-chain transaction.

The 50% burn ratio is a policy published in the whitepaper and can only be adjusted after prior notice. Burns are executed as payments to the issuer address (the standard XRPL burn method), extinguishing the debt and reducing total supply.
Each daily epoch fixes the reward budget first, then distributes it by quality-score contribution. More stations never increases issuance - supply inflation is structurally blocked. Budget = max(bootstrap decay, α × monthly B2B revenue / days), α = 0.50.
Every data sale permanently burns 50% of the WLBN received on-chain, shrinking circulating supply - revenue flows back to every holder as scarcity.
The current device, ARC-600DA, is the 1.0 baseline. Future models receive multipliers relative to it based on sensing capability, recorded in the license NFT metadata.
A per-station cap of 0.5% of the daily budget prevents a few large operators from capturing the rewards.

WLBN pays for the x402-gated air-quality data API - aggregates, cohort queries, LLM insights. AI agents read the 402 response, pay on-chain, and access data: true M2M payments.
Every dataset sold or queried passes a five-stage de-identification pipeline (geohash5 spatial generalization → temporal aggregation → identifier rotation → k-anonymity → attribute generalization); responses contain only cohort statistics, never station lists.
